I can truly say that Shazam is one of the apps that is one of a kind. I don't know of an app on the computer that can do what Shazam does. What it does is it looks up the song playing in the background and finds it within 20 seconds. I'd say there's about 85% success rate for all songs, with the success rate being higher for more commonly known songs. Free also.
